River Cottage returns to Channel 4

04.07.12

Hugh will once again be opening the doors of River Cottage, this time to welcome some familiar faces who are famous for everything but their cooking skills.

The brand-new episode from Park Farm will be broadcast on tonight Channel 4 (Wednesday 4 July) at 8pm.

The actors Philip Glenister and Keeley Hawes – stars of the 80s-inspired cop show, ‘Ashes To Ashes’ and Felicity Kendal, the original poster girl for small holders throughout the land, join me at River Cottage HQ for two days of good cooking and fun on the farm.

Hugh will introduce his famous guests to the ways of River Cottage; the importance of seasonal, ethical produce and the delights of homegrown, home-cooked food.

Felicity, Keeley and Philip may all be better at treading the boards than using chopping boards, but after intensive training from our equally enthusiastic chefs, Tim Maddams and Gill Meller, they soon become stars of the kitchen too!

And there’s plenty of fun and tasty food to be enjoyed along the way, from fishing trips to catch creatures of the deep to forages for earthy secrets; from delicious chocolate cakes to soups with an extra zing.
