We think something amazing is happening with renewable energy in this country, and we want everyone to be part of it.

energyshare is an innovative idea that aims to fundamentally change the way people source, use and even generate their energy. Our aim is to challenge the status quo: we want to give individuals and communities more control over where their energy comes from, and how much they spend on it.

energyshare is a social network where you can connect with other people and community groups. Find out how to generate your own renewable energy or support others to get a project off the ground.

energyshare keeps you updated with information about funding, and offers advice and support for projects. We provide case studies for inspiration, and to give practical tips from what others have achieved. The site  also encourages you to share your own experiences and help other communities by sharing what you know.

Whether you’re an established project or just starting out, we’ve learnt that this network of support really helps when talking with planners, applying for funding and making your project successful.

energyshare was originally founded in 2010 by KEO digital and Seachange.
