KEO films was named amongst the winners of the Learning on Screen Awards at the BFI Southbank, London on Thursday night (April 26).

Terry Pratchett: Choosing to Die was given the General Education Broadcast Award for the documentary which sensitively tackled the extremely complicated issue of euthanasia following the author’s diagnosis with Alzheimer’s in 2008.

The 60-minute frank and personal programme was broadcast on BBC2 last year.

The ceremony, attended by over 150 industry professionals, was presented by Stewart Purvis CBE, former Chief Executive at ITN and included a guest speech by Lord Robert Winston.

Earlier this week the team was shortlisted by BAFTA in the Best Single Documentary category.
