ideas that might just change the world
We're more than just the award-winning digital arm of KEO films.
We're a group of online creatives, using our extensive digital experiences to leave a dramatic and sustainable footprint on the real world.
Our ideas may live in the digital world, but we believe they have their biggest impact in everyday life.
Between our team and our projects, we are making our own small difference to world, influencing people and changing the way they think.
THE DAY THE INTERNET CHANGED TV FOREVER
It started with ground-breaking online projects such as UEFA.com, the National Lottery online and the Big Brother website.
We even sold the first-ever online insurance policy. It seems like a long time ago now, but Big Brother set the standard for disruptive online activity.
Over 40% of the entire UK internet traffic was absorbed by Nick Bateman's underhand tactics at its peak.
We broadcast more video online than ever before.
It created an environment where more people voted to evict the housemates than took part in the European elections that year. And that was long before the days of X Factor.
"The day the internet changed TV forever," said The Guardian after Nasty Nick was finally caught out in 2001.
We believe we forever changed the way the internet is used, and played a significant role in commercial TV development.
KEO DIGITAL TODAY
Then we met Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall. We swapped a flimsy house at a TV studio in east London for a 16th Century Farmhouse, with over 400 years of rich history in Devon to provide a firm foundation for what came next.
The core team established the River Cottage brand, setting out to tackle issues of food integrity, sourcing and higher welfare standards. Eighteen TV series and umpteen books later, and we're still at it.
There are our high-profile multiplatform campaigns: Landshare, Chicken Out! and Hugh's Fish Fight.
Landshare kick-started a UK growing revolution, Chicken Out! brought about change in chicken welfare while Hugh's Fish Fight signaled a revamp of the Common Fisheries Policy at the European Parliament in Brussels.
Above all, the campaigns created a legacy of a change in attitudes throughout the UK. But we're not finished yet.
We're developing energyshare, our sustainable energy community.
It's empowering both individuals and groups to save and generate money, and ultimately take more control over their future energy needs.
To date it's provided hundreds of thousands of pounds to support, and celebrate amazing projects across the UK.
It generates huge sums of community funding to divvy up between thousands of fledgling UK renewable projects.
Now there's Peoplefund.it, our crowdfunding platform. If banks won't do it, we will.
Empowering people once again through digital, and our bottom-up approach to digital has had amazing results.
Of course the world's moved on since those early days of Big Brother, but our digital expertise is more influential than ever before.
We continue to make the big boys look over their shoulders and engage our large and loyal audiences to take more control over their lives and make a real difference.
We continue to deliver results for our other clients - most recently Channel 4, the Daily Telegraph, British Gas, Cornwall County Council, Greenpeace, Yahoo and NESTA.
We know how to build successful campaigns for TV, digital and mobile, so drop us a line if you think we can work together. Whatever we put our mind to, we do it with passion and ambition to change the world a little for the better.
